This guide will walk you through the basics of navigating individual artwork pages on Folio.
Clicking into an individual artwork from an artist, show, or album will display the image with basic details from CMS at the bottom of the page.
If there is additional information for the artwork added in CMS (such as notes, provenance, signature details, or detail images) you will see an up arrow with a dot in the center at the bottom of the page. Click on the arrow to display the additional details.
There are a series of icons at the top right of every artwork page
Edit
The pencil icon allows you to update works on the go by jumping to CMS. Please note that this is only possible when your device has a wifi connection.
Clicking here will take you directly to the artwork page in CMS where you can edit artwork details. When you are finished, click “Done” in the top right-hand corner to return to browsing Folio.

Clicking on the email icon will prompt you to compose an email containing the artwork. For more information about emailing artworks from Folio, please refer to the Sending Emails through Artsy Folio support article.

Album

Clicking on the album icon allows you to add the work to a previously existing album or to create a new album containing the work. For more information about creating albums, please refer to the Creating Albums section.
View in Room
Click this icon to view the artwork in a virtual room to help give a client a sense of size and scale.

In order for the view in-room feature to work, dimensions need to be entered for the artwork in CMS. A reminder that the “View in Room” feature only works for artworks with height and width dimensions. Works with a depth dimension cannot be seen in the “View in Room” feature. The recently improved View In Room feature allows collectors to visualize the scale of an artwork by placing it in a museum context with a standard 8' museum bench.
We recommend you only upload cropped images so they may be supported in “View in Room.”
Search
Clicking on the search icon allows you to search your entire synced inventory. The search icon is a magnifying glass and is located in the upper righthand corner of your screen.
