My artworks are not uploading – the grey box won’t load, and the black bar keeps spinning. What’s happening?
Make sure that your image files are JPGs or PNGs, as TIF files can sometimes be problematic during uploading. Also, be sure to check that your filenames don’t have any special characters in them, such as dollar signs, quotation marks, etc.
I made some changes in CMS that are not yet appearing on Artsy. When will they show up?
Changes made in CMS can take a few hours to appear on the front end of Artsy. Please reach out to Partner Support (partnersupport@artsy.net or through the chat bubble in the bottom right of this guide) if you still can’t see your updates after 24 hours.
Why are my artworks being cropped into squares?
CMS currently presents the images as square thumbnails but rest assured that your artworks will preserve their formatting on the public-facing site when published.
I published my artworks, but they’re not visible on Artsy. Why can’t I see them on the site?
Fair Partners: Your artworks will be published when the Artsy preview for the fair goes live and will not be visible on the public-facing site until that date. Ensure that all your artworks are attached to your fair booth within CMS. If the artworks are not included in the booth, they will not be automatically published during the fair.
Subscription Partners: If you already have a published profile page, your artworks will only publish once you select “Publish” and all required fields are filled in. You can check the status of each artwork within the “Artworks” tab of CMS.
How do I delete an artwork/artist?
Click “Delete This Artist” or “Delete Artwork” at the bottom of the artist or artwork page.
Can I delete multiple artworks at one time?
There is currently no way to delete multiple artworks unless you want to delete the artist. If you delete an artist, all of their works will also be deleted. If you want to delete only a handful of works by one artist, this has to be done individually.
How can I associate multiple artists with one artwork?
Upload the artworks under one artist's name initially. Once the upload is complete, go to the individual artwork's page and click “edit details.” You should then see a “+” sign next to the artist's name for the artwork. Clicking the “+” will allow you to add more artist names.
Why can't I see the documents I upload in the “Documents” tab on the Artsy site?
Documents uploaded in the “Documents” tab are only visible in Folio, Artsy’s app to manage your CMS inventory on iPhone and iPad. If you would like to add a press release that will be visible on the Artsy site, you can upload one in the “Details” section of a show or fair booth page.
What is the difference between uploading install shots and artwork images?
Install shots show exhibition installations and will appear at the top of the show page in an image carousel only—you cannot search for install shots on Artsy.net. Uploading images of artworks allows them to be searchable by artist, title, gallery, museum, institution, etc.
I’m trying to add a booth for a fair, but the fair is not showing up in the search bar.
