Creating an Album in Folio

Albums are groups of works created in Folio that can be saved for later viewing. Create albums for a specific artist series, or a curated selection of works for a particular client. There are several ways to create albums in Folio.

From an Artwork Page

To create an album starting from an individual artwork page, click on the album icon to the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Add your selected works to an existing album or to a new album by selecting an existing album from the dropdown menu or by clicking the “New Album” button.

From a Show Page

To create an album starting from a show page, click on the icon displaying a page with a box in the center, located at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select your artworks by clicking on an artwork until the purple checkmark appears and then click the “Add” button at the top right of the screen.

Add your selected works to an existing album or to a new album by selecting an existing album from the dropdown menu or clicking the “New Album” button.

From the Albums Page

The Albums page outlines the albums that you have created in Folio, organized alphabetically.  To create an album from this page, click “Edit” at the top right-hand corner of the screen.  A new screen will appear with an option to “Create New Album.” This screen also allows you to delete an album by clicking on the “X” in the top left corner of the album.

Once you select “Create New Album,” Folio will prompt you to provide an album name. After entering your album name, click “Create.”  Folio will now prompt you to add artworks to your album by scrolling through a list of your available works, organized by artist.

To add an artwork, click into the artist’s name and select the specific work. A purple checkmark will appear on the work once selected. You can also click “Select All” in the top right corner to select all works belonging to the artist. To deselect a specific work, click on it again so that the purple checkmark disappears or click “Deselect All” to deselect all works.

If you are only adding works by one artist to the album, click “Add” in the lower right-hand corner of the screen to complete the album. If you are creating an album with works by multiple artists, do not click “Add” until you are done adding works by all your desired artists.

To add works by different artists, click the button at the top left corner of the screen to go back to the list of artists. Once you have finished adding works by all your desired artists, click “Add” to complete the album. 

Once you have finished adding works by all your desired artists, click “Add” to complete the album.

From an Artist Page

To create an album starting from an artist page, click on the icon of the page with a box in the center at the top right of the screen. Select your artworks by clicking on an artwork until the purple checkmark appears and then click the “Add” button at the top right of the screen.

Add your selected works to an existing album or to a new album by selecting an existing album from the dropdown menu or clicking the “New Album” button. Your album has now been created.
