Artsy provides competitive shipping quotes and options via our shipping partner ARTA.
Quotes are calculated automatically at checkout based on the artwork’s location, dimensions, and the collector’s location.
When a collector opts for the 'Self Ship' option at checkout, the gallery is asked to provide packing in-house. A prepaid shipping label will be sent via email and will also be available to download within CMS saving on time and cost.
How ARTA suggest to pack:
The information provided in the listing (material, value, dimensions), determines the packing suggestion. ARTA ask that the gallery package the item in line with their instructions included in email containing your prepaid label to ensure safe delivery to the client and to avoid cost discrepancies with the prepaid rate service.
Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions regarding the packing instructions or if any of the below apply:
- There is a notable item or package size discrepancy
- There will be a delay with the release schedule
- You will pack multiple artworks within one parcel and the additional labels will not be used
