Artsy respects your privacy, and the privacy of collectors. To you and your collectors, we will no longer store the contents of older inquiry messages and your responses within Artsy’s system.
Starting in May 2020, we archived message contents in threads in the Conversations tab that have been inactive for over a year. While the conversation threads themselves will remain available on Artsy CMS and the iOS app, the message content, (i.e. the text and attachments) has been archived and will not be visible there.
This does not affect the contents of Artsy Conversation emails sent to personal email inboxes of any of your staff eligible to receive such emails. Both you and the collector will be able to re-start a conversation in CMS or the Artsy iOS app should you wish, regardless of whether it has archived messages in it.
How do I restart a conversation?
The original conversation thread will still be available in the Conversations tab in Artsy CMS, even though the messages contained in the thread are archived. If you wish to restart a conversation, simply find the relevant thread and send a message—just as you would with any other thread.
