This article provides instructions for reporting an Artsy inquiry as Spam.
There may be a case where you don’t plan to respond to an inquiry or continue a conversation because you suspect a user to be malicious or misusing the platform. Our "Mark as Spam" feature empowers you to report suspicious messages to our Trust team directly and to better organize your CMS conversations.
To mark an inquiry as spam, open the inquiry and scroll down to the bottom, where you will find the “Mark as Spam” button.
After clicking “Mark as Spam” you will be asked to confirm.
The demo screenshot below shows the final step to mark an inquiry as Spam.

Marking an inquiry as spam removes the last message on the inquiry thread in CMS Conversations and automatically notifies Artsy to manually review the conversation. Once done, you will not be able to reply to the thread in CMS and you will not receive any new replies from the user after a message is marked as spam. Your response rate will not be impacted.
You should only mark a message as spam if you believe the message is from a user you believe to be malicious or misusing the platform. It is not for inquiries you do not consider ‘serious'.
Deleting a Conversation
Once you mark a message as spam, you will have the option to delete a conversation within your CMS Conversations. This empowers you to archive and remove conversations from known spammers.
The screenshot below shows a demo CMS Conversation thread with a message already marked as spam, before deleting the conversation:

If you wish to simply dismiss an inquiry because you don’t plan to respond to a particular inquiry, you can learn how to dismiss here.
