Syncing Artsy Folio

Folio is an iPhone and iPad application that operates in conjunction with CMS and is offered to certain subscription plans. You may download information and materials from CMS to Folio for convenient mobile storage and display. Folio is available for internal use such as day-to-day reference, storage, and for personal display to clients.

How Start Syncing Your Artworks

First, download Folio from the Apple App Store by searching for “Artsy Folio” or by downloading it from this page.

Artsy Folio is a tool for galleries to access artworks stored on Artsy CMS on their iPad and iPhone. Please note that Folio is not the same as Artsy’s mobile app (also available on the Apple App Store), which allows users to browse content from Artsy.

Once you have downloaded Folio, please log in with the Artsy partner credentials that you also use to log in to Artsy CMS. This will prompt the initial sync process with your full Artsy inventory on CMS. You will need to have a strong internet connection.

Clicking away from the app while syncing will pause the sync, if you want to fully sync, please leave the app open while syncing.

Syncing Updated Information

While the initial sync takes place automatically, in future a purple exclamation point will appear over the settings icon, prompting you to sync when you have updated information in CMS.

The sync section in Settings will also store a log of your past syncs, update you on the strength of your wifi connection and recommend whether to sync now or wait until you have a stronger connection.
