This guide will provide instructions for sending emails to clients through the Artsy Folio app.
Send artworks, documents about artists, documents about shows/fair booths, and other information to clients using the Artsy Folio app. The email feature on Artsy Folio operates through the Mail app on your iPad or iPhone, so ensure that your Mail app is enabled and operational before proceeding.
You can send emails with Folio wherever you see an envelope icon in the app. This icon will be visible on Artist, Show, Album or individual artwork pages. To send a message from an artist, show or album, click the email icon at the top right of the screen.
You will be prompted to select specific artworks. Once you have selected the desired works, click “Compose” at the top right of the screen.
After clicking “Compose,” select your preferences from a dropdown menu. You can select to include options such as installation images, supplementary information, prices, details, and documents by clicking on the option so that a purple checkmark appears.
Once you have selected your preferences, click “Email” at the bottom of the dropdown menu. Your email will appear in a new window. Add in your client’s email address, feel free to make any more edits, and then hit send.
You can also send an email containing an individual artwork from the artwork’s page by clicking the envelope icon at the top right of the screen. Select your preferences from a dropdown menu, and create the email by clicking “Email” at the bottom of the menu.
Please note that the “from” address in an email created in Folio will default to the default address set up for your iPhone or iPad. If you would like to change this address, please refer to the Folio FAQ support article.
