Artworks are chosen based on availability, artist demand, and freshness of the inventory. Artsy's curatorial team aims to promote artists of all career stages, from emerging to established.

How are curated collections promoted?

Curated collections are promoted to Artsy's audience using email, social media, and paid ads.

How can I find out about upcoming collections?

Artsy's curatorial team makes an effort to inform eligible galleries of upcoming collections relevant to their programming, and may reach out with opportunities to upload new works for a chance to be featured.

I received an email to upload works for a collection. What should I do?

This is an opportunity to upload new works, or confirm the availability of existing works, for a chance to be featured in an upcoming collection and marketing campaign.

Is there any criteria for works to be included in curated collections?

Yes! Artworks that meet the below criteria will be considered for inclusion in curated collections:

• Works listed with high-quality images
• Original, unique, and limited-edition artworks (not including ephemera)

How do I recommend an artist for inclusion in an upcoming collection?

All artworks featured in curated collections are chosen at the discretion of Artsy‘s curatorial team. If you have a suggestion please send it to your liaison. 

How will I know if my works have been included in a collection?

Artsy's curatorial team makes an effort to inform galleries of their inclusion in recently launched collections and marketing campaigns.

For how long will the collection remain live?

Curated collections remain live on Artsy after their initial launch. Select collection pages are updated periodically to provide users with fresh inventory for browsing.

How are the artworks ordered on collections pages?

Artworks featured in collections are automatically ordered using an algorithm that prioritizes recently uploaded and in-demand artworks, especially those with public pricing or e-commerce enabled.

How can I make sure my works are featured more prominently on a collection page?

Artworks featured in collections are automatically ordered using an algorithm that prioritizes recently uploaded and in-demand artworks, especially those with public pricing or e-commerce enabled.

We recommend always listing your artworks with public pricing, and making them available for ‘Buy Now’ or ‘Make Offer,’ when possible. Artworks uploaded with public pricing are up to 5x more likely to sell than similar works with prices hidden.

My works for the collection are already posted. Do I need to re-publish them?

As long as your works meet the necessary criteria for the collection, they will be considered for the collection. You do not need to republish these works, they just need to be published by the deadline of the collection.
