This is an article with frequently asked questions about Artsy’s City Guide.
How do I make sure my shows get included in City Guide?
Just upload a show as you normally would. As long as it is a show with a physical location in New York City, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, or London (in other words, it’s not an online exclusive show or a pop-up in another city) and is open to the public, it will be shown.
I noticed that there is now an additional location on my CMS account. Why has this location been added?
As part of our City Guide launch, our research team may have determined that your location data was not fully up to date in CMS.
Because our goal with City Guide is to provide the most comprehensive guide to the art world, we wanted to ensure that all partners with existing locations in the six City Guide locations (New York City, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, London, and Hong Kong) are included in the new feature. The addition of this location will only be used on the back end, to ensure the location data is being fed into the City Guide feature. Collectors will not see this new location on your Artsy profile.
How are gallery show listings ordered?
Gallery shows in the list view will be ordered alphabetically by the gallery name. If a gallery has several shows, they will also be ordered alphabetically by the show name.
Does City Guide include current shows only? Or will upcoming and closed shows also be included?
City Guide will include all current shows and also call out all shows that are closing this week and opening this week.
My gallery is seeing two listings for the same show. What’s triggered this duplicate listing and how can we remove it?
When a gallery does upload their works to a show, there may be a lag between the show our Artsy team added as a placeholder and your updated Artsy show. The duplicate show made by Artsy will be removed.
