You can now set your own custom price ranges on artworks listed with Make Offer and inquiries. If you’re not comfortable with setting an exact price for a particular work, we offer the ability to set your own upper and lower bounds for a price range on the work.
For inquiries, works with public pricing are 6 times more likely to sell than those with hidden pricing, and hidden pricing is cited as the biggest barrier to purchasing a work by collectors. While an exact price is always preferred by collectors, setting a custom price range can help a collector understand if an artwork is within their budget range, making them feel comfortable inquiring.
For Make Offer, a price range can allow you to list a work that you are unable to show exact pricing for via our powerful e-commerce selling options. Works listed with Make Offer are more likely to sell than works listed via inquiries, and collectors prefer purchasing through e-commerce. If a collector makes an offer on a work listed via Make Offer with a custom price range, you can accept the offer, make a counteroffer, or decline the offer as you normally would.
