Gallery partners on subscription plans Plus, Premier, or VIP can now set your own custom price ranges on artworks listed with Make Offer and Inquiries. If you’re not comfortable with setting an exact price for a particular work, we offer the ability to set your own upper and lower bounds for a price range on the work.
For inquiries, works with public pricing are 6 times more likely to sell than those with hidden pricing, and hidden pricing is cited as the biggest barrier to purchasing a work by collectors. While an exact price is always preferred by collectors, setting a custom price range can help a collector understand if an artwork is within their budget range, making them feel comfortable inquiring.
For Make Offer, a price range can allow you to list a work that you are unable to show exact pricing for via our powerful e-commerce secure checkout options. Works listed with Make Offer are more likely to sell than works listed via inquiries, and collectors prefer purchasing through e-commerce. If a collector makes an offer on a work listed via Make Offer with a custom price range, you can accept the offer, make a counteroffer, or decline the offer as you normally would.
